Criss Angel, Jason Siska, and oh a state named Florida Part One

Well I am back from my vacation.  It wasn't long enough.  I don't think anyone wants to return back to work after their vacation.  Sigh.

I had an amazing time.  I visited my second home, Clearwater Beach, Florida and then hung out in Orlando.  The first night I got into Clearwater I got to meet and see Criss Angel.  I learned he was there to film an episode of his Mindfreak show that was to occur the next day.  My mom and I went walking the beach that night and saw all these people swarming barricades and cops all around so we walked up and thats when we learned about Criss Angel being there.

At first there was like 40 people huddled around.  By the end of the night there was like 10 of us.  It was around nine at night.  Criss was going to escape from the Spyglass Hotel that was going to be imploded to make way for ugly, big, hideous condos.  The Spyglass was a very nice hotel.  Anyway, he started jogging shirtless back and forth from the hotel to his trailor.  It was the night before his stunt.  We all followed him and chased him through a section of the barricades.

He did this several times teasing us fans until more then the 40 of us showed up and he then got a golf cart to caddy him back and forth.  I got a picture of him but it is just of his arm and part of his head.  I had a perfect shot but some idiot dude pushed me and almost knocked me into a cop as I snapped the picture.  After about 2 hrs of him doing this mom and I got bored and she ran into Criss' brother and got a picture.  Across the street Criss team and production crew were meeting and dining at Britt's cafe so mom and I headed there but really not to see them but to sit and have drinks and watch all the crazies chase Criss down.  They have a nice deck area that overlooks the beach but this night was blocked by all the trailors and such.

After we finished talking and having our drink we walked back over to the barricades to where Criss was.  He came by briefly shaking hands then ran to the hotel.  This is where the  dissapointement came in.  For those who don't want to know how Criss does his tricks don't read the rest of this.

By now there was 10 of us left because it was a little after midnight.  Criss production team said they were doing a run through but it was really him filming all the crap that went on inside the hotel when it was supposed to implode. I filmed it the best my camera could.  He was supposed to be out of the hotel in 3 mins because thats when the building would come down but my camera filmed him not popping out until 4 mins on the roof where a helicopter was waiting for him.  So right away me and mom new that something was up and that he wasn't going to really be in that building when it imploded.  And sure enough later on when the actual event went off the next night he didnt pop up on the roof he popped up coming from beside the rubble.  I felt stupid for cheering with all the other 10 people  when Criss popped up on the roof during his supposed "run through" after I realized this.

So by 2 am I headed back to my hotel nervous how he was going to pull off this dangerous stunt because at this time I wasnt really sure how he would pull it off until the next night when the building did implode.  Well, the next night mom, my brother, and me made it back in time after our visit to Busch Gardens in Tampa.  They had the roads closed at the beach so we were stuck on the causeway that leads from Clearwater into Clearwater Beach.  We made it to a restaurant in Island Estates and parked the car.  The valet was nice enough to let us park there to watch the Spyglass event.  Even though we weren't on the beach to witness the event you could still see the Spyglass Hotel all lit up from the Causeway.  There were cars everywhere.  So anyway we walked over to the docks beside the restaurant and talked to another lady who I think says she saw a figure jump from a balcony which I think I have on film which was him and how he escaped.  There was all kinds of news helicopters and of course his helicopter that was supposed to pick him up off the roof was there.

The building blew up and a young guy behind us was on his cell.  He was talking to a friend who was there at the beach and he says, "It's good!  Criss popped up in the crowd beside the building." to everyone cause we were all like well?

Shortly after I started to fit pieces together and my grandmother was watching it on tv as it was live in the hotel room and she started to tell us what she saw and I was like sure enough everything she saw of him in the hotel trying to escape was what he filmed the night before.  Plus I looked it up and one of the Tampa news stations already debunked from what they filmed of how he escaped.  It kinda just ruined it all for me.  But I decided I am going to post my videos so if there are die hard Criss Angel fans, please do not watch.  I am warning you now.

I have lots more vacation news but I think this is a long enough blog.  lol!

Criss Angel Mindfreak

Ok so I was taking my annual vacation in Clearwater Beach, Florida and who do I learn is running around the city?  None other then Criss Angel, Mindfreak.  He was in town to do is stunt of escaping the imploding Spyglass building.  At first I thought hey this is cool until I realized and learned how he did it based on my footage I filmed of him the night before the implosion around 1 am.  I am still a fan but I am disappointed on a few things.  I have a pic I will post of him when I get back from vacation in the week but my videos I am unsure if I want to post.  For those who are a major fan I don't want to offend so for now I am choosing not to post my footage but that may change idk.  I do have footage of the building imploding to make way for condos I can post when I get back too.

On a lighter note, my vacation has been wonderful so far and I am now in Orlando, Florida about to do Sea World and Aquatica Waterpark.  I did Ripley's museum tonight with the Pirates Adventure Dinner show.  But for now this is all I can blog about because I am so tired.  It is 11:24 pm but I have much to blog about my trip.

Finally A Vacation

Well after a setback and scare, I am able to leave tomorrow morning to Clearwater Beach, Florida at 5am.  I would have left today but my grandmother who is traveling with me is in the hospital right now and they hope to release her sometime today.  She went in with chest discomfort but the doctors believe it is due to her broncials after all her tests came back fine from her heart.  They decided to keep her one more day and do a stress stess and if that showed up fine, she is free to come home.  I haven't been able to finish packing or sleep much since she went in on Friday night.  Edit- She just called wanting us to pick her up that they are releasing her, yay!

On a lighter note, I am finally on a freakin vacation!  lol!  It's been a year.  I need one.  I'm sick of all the stress from my crappy job. I can't complain much though because it is a full time job which I should be lucky to have with all the crazy crap going on in the economy but I dont get paid enough to deal with all the bs that occurs.

Going to chill at the beach for a few days and then head to Orlando.  There, I am doing the Pirates Dinner show because I mean come on, who doesn't love a pirate?  Haha.  Then we are doing Sea World and their new water park Aquatica where they have black and white dolphins I have never seen before.  I didn't even know those types of dolphins exist and they are my favorite animal.

While in Clearwater, we will also be hanging out at Bush Gardens in Tampa. Love that place.  I am a roller coaster fanatic.  I love the Montu coaster.  It's my favorite at that park.  And I hear there is a new coaster since the last time I was there, so I am anxiously awaiting to check it out.

Somewhere in the mix Downtown Disney is thrown in because I have to say goodbye to my favorite club there as they might be closing in September which is The Adventurers Club.  Sigh, everything good always closes down.  And eating of course at Planet Hollywood because I love a drink called Sweet Death Becomes Her.  It's got Rum in it, need I say more?

Universal's City Walk is cool too.  I love eating at the Hard Rock.  Even though I have like tons of Hard Rock shirts from here, I always buy another lol!  It's like a collection thing.  But I do collect them from every Hard Rock I visit.

So pics and blogs aplenty when I get back in two weeks because I always run into something unexpected.  Last year I found Hulk Hogan's house, this year who knows?

Cobra Starship 6-12-08

So on Thursday, Jube 12th,  I saw Cobra Starship with We The Kings, and The Secret Handshake.

We the Kings were awesome. It was so hot inside headliners and the place was packed full. Before the show as we were all standing in line, Vicky T was filming some sort of skit with Gabe and Alex who took off in a girl's car and took forever getting back.  You can see the video on Cobra's Friends or Enemies page.  It is hilarious.

Then Gabe got on top of the car and started posing. I was able to meet Alex who took a picture with me and was very sweet. Then we waited in line again. My brother and I had arrived around 530 pm. The doors didn't open until 7pm.

When Cobra came on, everyone was up dancing and jumping around. When they sing the song, "Bring It", they brought it. I was able to meet the band after the show for a meet and greet inside the club. Everyone was nice including Gabe who told my brother to jump into our picture together. Gabe is very good at taking pictures when he is in the picture. haha whereas I can't shoot myself like that for anything.

I wish I could see them again on Warped Tour but we are taking our annual family vacation when they come close to Louisville again. I do hope that they return here soon after though. I saw them on the Honda Civic tour last year with Fall Out Boy but tonight with more songs I got to hear and see live, I think this show gave them more justice for me. Have fun on the Warped Tour guys and here is to you all hopefully returning again to Louisville.

In Memory Of Casey Calvert from Hawthorne Heights

Wow!  Words cannot express how I am feeling right now.  Sad, Shocked, and confused.

I cannot believe that Casey Calvert of one of my favorite bands, Hawthorne Heights passed away last night in his sleep.  I met him three times when I saw the band here in Louisville.  He was always smiling and nice to his fans.  Hawthorne will not be the same without him and will be missed.

This is taken from their website for those who did not know:

http://hawthorneheights.com/

Today is probably the worst day ever. Its with our deepest regrets that we have to write this. Casey Calvert passed away in his sleep last night. We found out this afternoon before sound-check. We've spent the entire day trying to come to grips with this and figure out as much as possible. At this time we're not sure what exactly happened. Just last night he was joking around with everyone before he went to bed. We can say with absolute certainty that he was not doing anything illegal. Please, out of respect to Casey and his family, don't contribute or succumb to any gossip you may hear. We don't want his memory to be tainted in the least. Casey was our best friend. He was quirky and awesome and there will truly be no others like him! His loss is unexplainable. As soon as we know more we will let you know.

Sincerely,

Hawthorne Heights

Eron, JT, Micah and Matt

Happy Turkey/Thanksgiving Everyone!

Well, I have alot to be thankful for.  I have awesome friends and family, a roof over my head, and food.  I hope others that do not have this can find these things and have something that they are thankful for.

As I am writing I am one stuffed girl.  I ate way too much dinner.  Haha.  I hate turkey so I ate tons of ham along with all the other fixins.

So as we stuff ourselves I hope everyone has had or is having an awesome Thanksgiving Day and I challenge everyone to reflect on at least one thing that they are thankful for in their lives.

Peace!

Amanda

Dancing Backstreet Boys Bird Is A Must See!

http://birdloversonly.blogspot.com/2007/09/may-i-have-this-dance.html

This little bird is so adorable and only dances to Backstreet's Back.  I thought that these people deserved a shout out.  You should check it out when you people have the time.  It is amazing how he just starts dancing on his own and to the beat at that!

Hopefully he can raise awareness to bird sanctuarys and rescues.

Lazy Me

Wow, I haven't written anything for awhile. Work sucks and I have been looking around for a new one.  And besides working, not much has been happening lately since my last post.

I am looking forward to seeing Chevelle on the 6th of November if I can come up with some extra money and then on Dec 7th I am going to see The Starting Line at Headliners.  That pretty much sums up what I have to say for tonight.

Stay safe friends and if I dont blog for awhile, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

11:11 p.m and Alice Cooper

Ok so I went to our Kentucky State Fair tonight and I just got back home from seeing Alice Cooper.  His band was awesome and were about my age.  The two guitarists did a drum solo thingy I got on video with the drummer which I thought was cool when Alice Cooper went to change outfits in the middle of the show.

He may be an old rocker but he still has it after all these years.  I was surprised to see teens and people my age at the show.  But then I realized that they grew up listening to his music as I did through parents.

Pics and Videos up soon rockers.

Birthdays, Clubbing, and Bowling

Wow, last night was such an amazing night!  I took my best friend out, Bev, for her 26th birthday.  We ate at the Hard Rock where they made her stand in a chair and told her happy birthday, and gave her a free sundae.  We even helped them do the YMCA.  It also helped that we were drinking alcohol. Hehe, RUM IS GOOD!!!

Then, afterwards the band Sister Hazel was outside giving a free show (free if you got in before 730 pm then it was 5 bucks).  We took a pic and listened for a few then walked across the street to Lucky Strike Bowling alley.

We played 2 rounds of bowling then headed back outside afterwards to go club hopping in the complex.  It was ladies night so we both got into all 5 of the clubs for free if we wanted so we decided to check out the newest clubs; Club Tiesta I think was the name and Rock Angel Bar.

We went to the Rock bar first and the awesome DJ asked who was born in the 80's and no one yelled except Bev and I.  Everyone was either drunk or didnt care to answer.  Since we hollered he dedicated Robert Palmer's Addicted to Love song to us.

Then after a few songs we headed off to Club Tiesta which played some awesome dance songs we haven't heard since we got out of high school in 99.  They also played some Fall Out Boy which is always awesome to hear, Kool and The Gang haha, and many others.  They even had stripper poles which was great in the middle of the dancefloor.

It was such an awesome night.  I took pics to embarass her (Just kidding Bev lol!) that I will post later along with some funny videos of our crazy and wild night.  I didnt get home until 1 am and then have to be at work at 6 am.  It was great cause by the time I made it to bed I had about three and a half hours of sleep.  So you know what time it is for me now, nap time hehe.

The Great Escape

Hello friends! I am sadly now back from my two week vacation.  I miss florida so much.  One of these days I will get to live there preferably around beautiful Clearwater Beach, my second home.

This trip consisted of going to Orlando, Florida for five days and then off to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg, Tennesse for some R&R in the mountains to escape.

I am so proud of myself.  I broke my record from in March when I drove from Kentucky with my friends on Spring Break of 10 hrs 30 mins to this trip making it to the Florida line in 9 hrs 45 mins.  Go me and I was a safe and careful driver.

Music I took:

All my Fall Out Boy stuff, Quietdrive, Boys Like Girls, Hawthorne Heights, Lifehouse, a little bit of Weird Al, Michael Jackson's Thriller cd, Paramore, The Academy Is cds, and some mixed stuff of various artists.

In Orlando, I visited Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure Theme Parks.  We ate at Jimmy Buffets Margeritaville and Hard Rock Cafe.  In Buffet's place he has a volcano that erupts when his signature song plays.  I ordered a new drink for me.  Since I was in Margeritaville you can't not get a margerita so I ordered a Pink Cadillac which I sucked down.  That sucker was awesome and reminded me of drinking pink lemonade.

I had such an amazing time.  The Hulk rollercoaster is by far my favorite ride at the Islands park.  It shoots you out and is awesome especially at night in the front row.

I was a little upset that Universal took out the Back to The Future ride to make way for the Simpsons ride openeing up in 2008.  The whole reason I was looking forward to Universal was for that ride.  I LOVE the Back to The Future Trilogy.  And I havent been to Universal in about 5 yrs so I wanted to ride it again but oh well.

Apparently no one can figure out what the Simpson ride will be because on the poster it makes you think that it may be a water ride or rollercoaster indoors.  So in a few years when I return I shall see.

We even went to a dinner show.  It was a Pirates Dinner show and we had VIP seating in the fornt row.  We sat on the red pirate side and he was awesome. Almost all of my row was in the show as an extra so it was hard to eat our food because we were enjoying laughing and having a good time.  Naturally the only thing I didnt like was I had to root for our pirate until he became bad then I was rooting for the good pirate because he gets the girl (aww! lol!)  and his name was Benjamin which is my brother's name.

Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge was nice because I could rest a bit from all the theme parking we did. I mined for gems at the Gem Mine shop and had me a tourmaline earrings, pendant, and ring set made ou tof the big Tourmaline Gem I found.  I also did some go karts and minature golfing as well as go up to the top of one of the mountains in an aerial tram which was cool but at the same time scary because you are in a tram hanging with only a few cables to move you up the top of the mountain.

I took plenty of pics of all my crazy adventures I had.  There is just too much to write and say so I will have some pics up soon.

Lifehouse Review 7-12-07

So last night was amazing!  I ate with my mom before the concert at Fourth Street at our Hard Rock Cafe, here in Louisville.  I checked out the VIP section and saw no Lifehouse so I figured they were across the street eating at TGI Fridays.  It turns out they were at Hard Rock and they were in a booth hidden three tables behind us.

I saw a guy around 15 or 16 stop at this booth and take a picture so when he walked by me I asked if it was Lifehouse and he said it was.  I grabbed my camera and headed over there to the booth which happened to be close to the bathrooms.

When I approached Jason got up and I asked him if I could take a picture.  This marks like my 4th or 5th time meeting them.  I was glad they hadn't ordered yet because then I wouldnt have asked.  I just feel it is rude to ask someone for a pic while they are trying to eat.  Bryce was the only one who got a salad and was eating that.

The whole band is nice and Jason smiled at me and said sure no problem.  So he sat back down and I took my picture.  I had asked them if they didnt mind and I was sorry to bother them but Jason was like it is cool.  I thanked them for the pic and headed back to the table mom and I were sitting at.

After we ate, mom went and found her a place to sit and I grabbed me a spot in the crowd moving my way up as close to the stage as I could get.  The stage was set up in the middle of Fourth Street which has shops, clubs, restaurants, and a Lucky Strike bowling alley.

Jagstar opened up and at first they were ok.  I was seriously considering buying their album but then after being told after 4 songs that this was their last song but kept on singing song after song I was quickly turned off.  I hate to say it but the crowd didnt appreciate it either. They played for an hour and ten minutes before Lifehouse's crew told them to quit finally.

I stood and watched the boys exit out of Hard Rock and walk up onto the stage. It was so amazing.  They are such an awesome live band.  They really play their hearts out.  I love to hear the music and get into it. I love to watch them get into it because I know they are having fun and enjoying playing their music to everyone.

The first song was Spin which is a favorite of mine.  Jason nodded at me because he saw I was the only girl singing along to every song and bobbing my head to the music.  Most girls there were there only because of him or one of the other guys but I was there because of the music.  It made me smile before I was pushed back in the crowd by some idiots.

Jason has told me before he loved to play Louisville back when they used to come to Jillians and I met them by their tour bus.  And he told the crowd that last night.  He also said he never heard of a Hard Rock being across the street from a bowling alley and that he thought it was cool.  The band would be in lane 12 after the show at the bowling alley.

It was after ten pm and the band sang their supposedly last song but ik better because I had seen them times before.  There is always an encore.  And as people decided to leave, I cheered and waited patiently for them to return which they did.

The boys came out playing You and Me, and The First Time as well as another song off their new cd.  I grabbed mom during the last song and bought a tour tshirt cause I collect shirts from all the shows I go to.  Then I watched them take their final bows and exit the stage.  I would have loved to have bowled with them but sadly I had to be at work early.

All in all it was an excellent show.  I can't wait for them to return again.  Thank you guys for being such nice, humble guys who really care about your fans and get into the music.

Today Is A Good Day

I am seeing the band Lifehouse today for free.  I absolutely love this band.  I have listened to them from the beginning and been to their shows since they started.  Today they come to Louisville as a side show from their tour with the Goo Goo Dolls.

I have met the band many times. And each time, I meet someone new in the band.  Last year I met Bryce.  I think though that the band has found their place finally.  Even though I love their old stuff I think their new cd is awesome.

Jason told me once that they love to play Louisville and so Jason, Louisville must love you guys and I am not complaining.  I am glad you chose to come here on a side stop of your tour.  I will keep coming each and every time you come here.  I love the music the band writes and plays and it is nothing but positive stuff.  Kids need some postive music in their life instead of all this stuff about pimps and gangs and such.

So I will sing my heart out tonight and have a review tomorrow on here.  I hope to take some good pics to as well.  Thanks for coming back guys.

Happy 4th Of July

Happy Independence Day everyone.  And to many more.

This Friday the 6th, I am looking forward to seeing Transformers.  I've heard good things and I've bad things.  Hopefully the good things win out.  I watched the cartoon and was a fan of it when I was little.  I had the toys and everything.

And I realized my vacation is in 2 weeks.  Can't wait for that.  I need to get away from work.  Its driving me insane.

Debating on seeing The Academy Is again.  I thought they were awesome at the Honda Civic Tour.

And in September is Louisville's LRS Fest.  I can't wait for them to announce what bands are coming this year.  Last year it was Rock Kills Kid, Head Automatica, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Hawthorne Heights, and 3 Days Grace.

Peace everyone!

Thoughts From An Insomniac

Well it is 1:31 am as I am writing this.  It won't be when you are reading this.  I have learned several things this week as I have watched my life crash into a wreck then mellow itself out.

One:  Is that I learned to take up for myself and do the right thing.  I will not let anyone stand in my face and accuse me of something I didnt do and then cuss me out and get in my face.  I had an arguement with a really big co worker at work who started throwing things at me and cornered me.  He started yelling and screaming at me over something stupid and over something I didn't do and got in my face.  This guy is a huge, big guy and as most people are afraid of him, I wasnt.  I told him to stop yelling at me I wasnt disrespecting him for him not to disrespect me.

That set him off even more because I was calm as I said it.  Finally it got to the point when he wouldnt move out of my way I did something wrong myself but it felt good.  Im just glad I didnt lose my job over what I said.  I told him to get the fuck out of my face and get the fuck away from me and go take some happy pills.

I think I took him by surprise because I am a girl and all of a sudden I had a mouth and wasnt taking any of his shit. I think he thought he could break me down and make me cry like he has done to so many other co workers I work with.  But I had a right especially after he used every cuss word in the book on me when he yelled at me.  I think he gets off on making people miserable.

He ended up throwing a cart at me and I went to management over it because I had a witness and it was on our security cameras.  All he got though was a warning and my written statement in his file.  They said that what he did was not a form of harrasement.  So I said what did it take for him to get written up or fired, me getting hurt or it had to be sexual comments?

But as it turns out is all he has to do is one more thing and he is gone from me having stood up and made a statement.  I always try to be nice to everyone and it takes alot to make me mad but I will not let someone get in my face, scream at me, and cuss at me.  I will take up for myself and I dont care who you are.  I am a firecracker.  I will go off and you better watch out when I do.

Two:  I am trying to learn patience.   I want so much.  I want a better job, to move away from home, and a boyfriend which they say when you arent looking is when you find someone.  Well, I've tried both looking and not looking and nothing so I know the Lord has a plan for me I just have to be patient.

Three:  Work sucks as I have a boss who is trying to give away my job to a part time employee as I am a full time employee.  I'm fighting over that as well.

Four:  Because I am a broke college kid I can't afford next semester so I am bummed at that.

Five:  Many other probs and things going on.

I thought that 07 would be a better year for me.  It started out great.  But then things have slowly gone haywire all around me.  Why can't things be simple?  When one thing gets fixed another broken in my life.  But I am still holding out hope this will be my best year ever.

On a plus I am off from work today and as a result if I can sleep then get up at 7am I am supposed to go to Cincinatti for a day trip to Newport Aquarium.  I need some fun in my life again.  I need another vacation and one from reality.

So a rambling on of thoughts is over.  Maybe now I can find some sleep and dream of a better tomorrow.

Hawthorne Heights Review from 6-14-07 show

So I went to see my boys Hawthorne Heights for the 3rd time in the last year on Thursday.  It was amazing.  They played at Headliners Music Hall in Louisville, Ky.  The guys never dissappoint.

The bands that played were in this order:

Powerspace, Brighten, Secondhand Serenade, From First To Last, and of course Hawthorne was the headliner.

Powerspace is a neat new band.  I really liked them and their sound. The lead singer did a backflip at the end of their set which i thought was neat. I met after the show two of them and got a pic, which sadly did not turn out because it was so dark in the venue my flash acted funny.  But I did chat for a minute and i recommend getting their album when it comes out on July 31st.

Brighten came on next and they were alright.  I may buy their album too but I haven't decided yet.  I may need to sample them again before I buy their cd.  One of the guys in the band was a little shocked when one lone crowd surfer made it onto the stage in the middle of a song.  I was laughing so hard because he waved to us crowd before one of the guys finally pointed for him to get down.

Secondhand Serenade came out next and although he was good I felt he was out of place with all the rock bands.  He is a solo guy for those who don't know who he is, and plays nothing but an acoustic guitar.  He had all the young teenage girls in the crowd hollering how much they loved him which made him blush.

Next is From First To Last.  Although I don't like their music, my brother did.  I ended up taking my younger brother because he never gets out and rarely listens to music unless it is on in my car.  He mainly plays video games so I asked him if he would come and surprisingly he did.  I am glad he did because he couldnt stop talking about this band and it made me smile.  He was glad all night long that he came with me and kept thanking me in the car for asking him to come.  I was glad that we could do a brother/sister day because we rarely see each other from our work and school schedules.

FFTL had the crowd moshing and crowd surfing.  There was the usual pushing and shoving.  I was 5 rows back from the stage but was pushed back to the wall where the bathrooms were and I wasn't the only one.  When they were done, all the people who were there from them either left or went to the back of the place where me, my brother and the rest of the people who were shoved back proudly got our spot back.  So i was back in 5th row to see my boys, Hawthorne Heights.

Each time I have seen them, they are amazing but each show is different.  First time i saw them was May 2006.  They made a side stop here to Louisville on their off day from the Black Clouds And Underdogs Tour with Fall Out Boy.  I wasn't able to see FOB at that time due to my work so it was nice that I got to see HH and meet them when they came here from that tour.  They were doing an Ohio show, us, then back to Ohio for another BCUD show.  If it wasnt for FOB, I would never have gotten into the music I love today.  They introduced me to Hawthorne because I wanted to know about the other bands on that tour so I sampled them and hence I fell in love with Hawthorne's music since I had never heard it before.

The second time I saw them was at WLRS fest here in Sept of last year.  I met them again also, although I didnt get pics with them like I did the first time I met them because it was so crowded and busy at the meet and greet.

So this show, my third time seeing them was amazing because I finally got to hear two new songs from the guys.  I am so proud of them and I support them.  I wanted to attend the Nintendo Fusion tour when they came to Cincinatti, Ohio last year as well but wasnt able to.  It was a nice return to Louisville for the guys.

The crowd was pumping and I was singing along to all the songs I knew sans the new ones.  Casey climbed up on the pole thingy that holds the stage together and screamed which was cool because he was almost over me and my brother.  JT and Casey joked around a bit which was funny and JT said he was a little freaked out because he could see himself playing from the mirrors on the bar wall.

They rocked and the crowd appreciated it.  I only hope that they can come to Louisville again and that they are able to get their new stuff put on an album and released soon.  After the show they signed autographs at the bus so my brother and me went to the bus so he could get their auto and I could chat with them for a few which was nice.

I was talking with JT about how I had seen them before and that i took my brother which was his first rock concert and he smiled and said thank you but as he was still talking to me this drunk chick who obviously didnt know who the band was or was there about the music like me cut in front of me and my conversation with JT.  This made me mad but JT handled the situation.  She asked if he was single or taken because she wanted her boobs signed which I laughed my head off at because I knew he was married. He looked at me and laughed and held up his ring finger and said, "Sorry, I'm married."  I was like chick you just got owned.

When I was talking to Matt from HH she did it again to me only she asked about Casey which she didnt even know his name and I laughed and smiled at Matt when he told her Casey was in the parking lot when he had actually already went inside the bus after I had talked with him.

After my brother had his shirt signed by the band we were about to leave but my brother wanted to meet FFTL since he liked their music.  So the thought occured for me to call my friend Erelin because I knew she likes the band and also Matt Good.

So we waited in line for Matt and when it was my turn I asked him if he wouldnt mind saying hi to my friend Erelin because Erelin lives in Chicago and I know she would have loved to have been here if she could.  Matt told me sure, no problem, and had like a 2 or 3 min convo with her.

I knew she had to have been dying while talking to him and when I got the phone back I thanked him and asked if he would sign my brother's shirt which he did.  I may not like his band but I have the most respect for Matt in that he took a few mins out to talk to a fan and my friend.  He was really sweet and had a nice smile.  Erelin told me oh my gosh so many times haha.  But that is what friends are for to brighten their day.

After Matt, my brother got the rest of the guys to sign his shirt and we left making it home at 12:30 am when the show started at 7:30 pm.  We had arrived around six to get a parking spot or we would have had to have parked a mile away because there isnt enough spaces for the venue. So all in all it was an awesome show and one I am glad I was able to attend.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day, mom!  I love you.

And to all the other moms in this world i wish you one as well.

Moms are special people.  They are the ones who raise us and gave birth to us.  I only hope that when I eventually have kids, I can be a good mom to mine.
